Emergency services were called to the A38 at 2.50am after the car left the road, ending up in a roadside ditch.
Two fire engines from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Weston were sent to the scene, along with further rescue vehicles from Weston and Bridgwater.
“On their arrival, crews confirmed three occupants were still trapped within the car, which was straddling a water filled ditch,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Crews used mud mats and dry suits to access the vehicle and then removed the roof of the car using hydraulic cutting equipment.”
All three occupants were eventually released and handed over to the ambulance service.
