The A38 was partially blocked on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea this morning (Wednesday) following a three-car accident.
Fire crews used cutting equipment to remove the roof of one vehicle to gain access to a casualty, who was taken to hospital after the collision at 8.20am outside The Oak Tree Arena in Highbridge.
Ambulance spokeswoman Meladie Justice told Burnham-On-Sea.com that one person had been taken to Weston General Hospital with “injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.”
And police spokesman Wayne Baker added: “Police were called at 8.20am to a road traffic collision involving three vehicles. The road was partially blocked while emergency services were at the scene.”
