These were the scenes on the A38 at Brent Knoll on Monday morning (August 3rd) after a two-car collision left one vehicle upturned in a roadside ditch.
Police and ambulance crews from Burnham-On-Sea were sent to the area near Harp Road at 7.35am after a Mitsubishi Shogun collided with a Volkswagen Passat.
An eyewitness told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One vehicle had been parked at the side of the A38 and the other crashed into it, shunting it into the ditch.”
A woman was taken to Weston General Hospital with head injuries, although these were not believed to be serious.
The accident led to the long delays for motorists passing through the area during the morning rush-hour.
