A motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A370 at East Brent near Burnham-On-Sea, has been named.
The biker was involved in a collision with a car on Saturday April 1st at around 2.40pm, leading to the closure of the road, as pictured above.
The man sadly died as a result of his injuries. An inquest into his death was opened on Friday April 7th and he has been named as 61-year-old Eamonn Pople from Bridgwater.
Mr Pople died as a result of multiple trauma injuries and the inquest has been adjourned for further investigation.
Avon and Somerset Police is still appealing for witnesses following the crash.
Police spokesman Scott McPherson told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We’re appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Edingworth on Saturday April 1st.”
“The collision took place on the A370 Weston Road at approximately 2.40pm. A motorbike collided with a Ford Fiesta.”
“Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man in his 60’s, died as a result of the injuries he sustained.”
“We need to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorbike on the A370 prior to the incident.”
“Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 and quote log number 601 of April 1.”
