Six people were injured during a serious three-car accident on the A370 near Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (September 12th).
Emergency services from Burnham rushed to the entrance to the Carbase car showroom in Lympsham at 12.26pm following the collision involving a Vauxhall Astra, a Ford Focus and a Citroen.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove two people from a vehicle and four further people were taken to hospital by ambulance.
One was thought to have life-threatening injuries.
“Fire engines from Burnham and Weston, plus a separate rescue tender, were mobilised to reports of a collision on the A370 in Lympsham. Two people were cut free using hydraulic cutting gear. A total of six people were conveyed to hospital,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Police have appealed for witnesses who saw the accident to get in contact. Diversions were in place throughout the afternoon.
