Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea helped to release a man trapped in an upturned car on Sunday night (March 13th).

Crews were called to the A370 in Lympsham at 9.11pm after the vehicle left the highway and ended on its side in a ditch.

Fire crews from Burnham and Weston, plus police and paramedics, attended the accident, which involved just the one vehicle.

“Crews released the male casualty from the vehicle using a ladder, who was then treated by paramedics,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com. The man was taken by ambulance to Weston General Hospital but his injuries were not thought to be serious.
