Popular markets at Brean Leisure Park have restarted for the new holiday season.
The park’s events are one of the few remaining markets of their kind in the South West and attract up to 150 traders.
The market has been under the same management, Edwards Davies Promotions, for the 49 years it has been coming to Brean Sands.
“Sadly, owner Charles Edwards passed away last year, but Brian Davies continues the tradition as it heads towards its 50th year which will be marked in 2020,” says a spokeswoman.
“The market runs every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm throughout the summer season from April to October at Brean Leisure Park, and also on Good Friday and all Bank Holiday Mondays throughout that period.”
“There will also be a Car Boot Sale every Tuesday, starting from the last Tuesday in May (28th) and running through until the end of October.”
Brean Theme Park, adjacent to the market, officially opened its doors for the season this week, and is still the UK’s largest free admission theme park, although car parking charges do apply. Various promotional wristbands are available for rides, and any guests staying at Holiday Resort Unity and holiday home owners at both Unity and Brean Country Club can also benefit from discounted passes.
