A Burnham-On-Sea pensioner opened her card from the Queen this week as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Florence Rose, pictured, has lived in Burnham for more than 30 years and celebrated her centenary with family and friends at a small party.
Over 20 relatives gathered at her home to mark the occasion.
Her son, Peter, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Florence enjoyed her special day very much and it was a wonderful surprise for her to see some of her family from Virginia in America, including several of her grandchildren, who have come across to the UK to take part in the special day.”
