Somerset Wildlife Trust is launching its new ‘Family Nature Walks’ programme with a walk at Berrow Dunes this Saturday, October 2nd.
Local families in the Burnham-On-Sea area can join the walk from 1pm-3pm and also take part in fun environmental activities.
“This year is the 30th Anniversary of Berrow Dunes Local Nature Reserve “ says organiser Mark Ward from the trust.
“Come along to find out more about this amazing place and its wildlife. Take a guided nature walk led by volunteers from the Berrow Conservation Group with natural history studies and nature connection activities along the way. All ages welcome.”
“These new walks are also now on offer as an organised bookable event to any local groups or groups of individuals.”
“This event will be a chance to find out more about how to get your group signed up and also to find out about other volunteer projects and surveys that the Berrow Conservation Group are running.”
The meeting point for Saturday’s walk will be Berrow beach in front of the dunes. “We will be about 100 metres along from where the beach car park road joins the beach, toward Burnham, and where the footpath through the local nature reserve comes out.”
This event is supported by Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Somerset Brilliant Coast Project (funded by the HPC CIM Fund and the National Trust).
