Caravan driver escapes unhurt after vehicle flips over on M5 near Burnham-On-Sea

The shocked owner of this caravan was lucky to avoid serious injuries on Monday (May 13th) after his vehicle flipped over on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea.

The caravan overturned on the northbound carriageway between Burnham and Weston, causing long delays for motorists.

All three lanes were temporarily closed while emergency services were called to the scene at 3.30pm to remove debris from the crash, but incredibly no-one was hurt.

Police spokeswoman Claire Stanley told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We received a report of a single vehicle collision involving a car towing a caravan at around 3.30pm. No-one was injured but this incident did cause traffic disruption.”
