Geoff Lewis, owner of the Treasure Chest gift shop on the seafront, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A little bit of sunshine soon brings out the visitors.”

A bank of crocus plants in Burnham burst into flower“We don’t usually open until Easter but saw the weather today and decided to open early.”

“We’ve been selling buckets and spades all day,” he said.

Further along the town’s seafront, opposite Burnham Sailing Club, a bank of crocuses has burst into colour – another possible sign that Spring may have finally sprung.
