Burnham-On-Sea garden centre opens new pet and aquatic centre

-

Hundreds of animal lovers attended the official opening of Sanders Garden World’s new Pet and Aquatic Centre on Saturday March 25th.

Pauline Kidner, Founder of Secret World wildlife rescue centre in East Huntspill, declared the Pet and Aquatic Centre open and brought several animals to help her with the job.

Peter Burks, Managing Director of Garden World, based near Burnham-On-Sea, said: “The launch day was great fun. As well as Pauline attending, the Mayor of Weston-super-Mare, Councillor Charles Heard, helped with the opening.”

Those who attended were able to get expert advice from the new Pet and Aquatic Centre team and pick up free pet care leaflets.

Peter added: “There was also one VIP special guest helping with the opening of the Centre, Pat Dain from Bleadon, near Weston-super-Mare, and her golden retriever called Jess.”

“Pat and 10-year-old Jess won the chance to help open the Centre after winning our pet rescue tale competition. Pat wrote in with the most interesting story and was treated like a star for the day as part of her prize.”

Animals on site include rabbits, hamsters, mice and reptiles as well as tropical, marine and cold water fish.
