Former world boxing champion Duke McKenzie was the special guest at a night of local boxing in Brean on Thursday, March 30th.

Former world boxing champion Duke McKenzieThe former WBO and European Flyweight Champion joined an audience of more than 400 people for a dinner boxing evening at the Farmer’s Tavern, Brean Leisure Park.

He watched a series of twelve competitive bouts, held in conjunction with Bridgwater’s Sydenham Amateur Boxing Club, which involved up-and-coming boxers from across the area, including fighters from Burnham-On-Sea’s King Alfred Amateur Boxing Club.

Mr McKenzie also presented the winners with awards at the end of the night.
