A food shop has re-opened in Highbridge after being temporarily closed last week due to an infestation of rats and mice.
Officers from Sedgemoor District Council’s Food Protection Team used their emergency powers to temporarily close the shop, Bargain Brand Food Outlet of Commerce Way in Highbridge.
“The food premises has been re-opened following a satisfactory re-inspection by Sedgemoor District Council,” said council spokeswoman Claire Faun.
“Environmental Health Officers have reported substantial improvements at the premises.”
