Residents from the Burnham-On-Sea area are being invited to a Harvest Festival taking part at a local garden centre this weekend.
Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll is hosting the event, which includes free tastings and activities for children, on Saturday October 2nd and Sunday October 3rd.
Peter Burks, General Manager of Sanders Garden World, said: “Visitors will be able to sample some of the jams and chutneys on sale here at the garden centre.”
“Rich’s Farmhouse Cider, based in Watchfield, will also be at the centre on both days from 10.30am until 4pm to offer free tastings to visitors over the age of 18.”
“We will have an apple press on both days and people who bring along their own apples will be able to have them pressed for free.”
During the event, there will be a skittle alley for visitors to play on for free. Children will also be able to take part in a scarecrow hunt.
Representatives from the Woodturning Society will also be taking part, demonstrating their work to visitors.
Members of the Sanders Garden World horticultural team will also be on hand to chat to people about their fruit trees during the weekend.
