A new charity book shop opened its doors in Burnham-On-Sea High Street on Monday (May 27th).
Burnham Rotary Club has opened its seasonal book store at 28b High Street, between West Coast Properties and Burnham Goldsmiths.
The shop is now open from Monday to Saturday inclusive from 10am to 4pm until the end of August.
Rotarian Don Rvans, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the shop had enjoyed a brisk first day of business. “There has been lots of interest with plenty of visitors popping in to browse through our wide selection of books.”
Rotary organiser Jane Gibbs added: “We are pleased to be able to run our bookshop in such a prominent location. We have a large stock of books, so initially we will not be able to accept any more donated books.”
Funds raised will be used to support various local, national and international projects chosen by the Rotary.
