These were the scenes on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea late on Friday night (October 1st) as fire crews tackled a lorry fire.
Two fire engines from Burnham were called at 11.18pm to a fire involving an empty livestock trailer close to Sedgemoor Services on the northbound carriageway.
Crews used one hosereel jet and a foam jet to bring the blaze under control, as pictured here.
A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The fire is believed to have been caused by overheating brakes, causing damage to the trailer and tyres. It was brought under control at 11.41pm.”
