Burnham-On-Sea rehab charity welcomed to Parliament by town’s MP

-

Clients and staff from Burnham-based charity Somewhere House joined the town’s MP for a guided tour of Parliament this week.

Somewhere House provides a therapeutic service to anyone in the local area suffering from addiction, whether that be alcoholism, drug addiction or gambling.

Tessa Munt became a patron of the charity after visiting the centre in February and was delighted to take staff to her workplace in London.

After a quick catch-up and refreshments with Tessa, the group were given a tour of the House of Commons and watched a debate in the Chamber.

Tessa said: “Somewhere House are fantastic and I’ve seen how they work tirelessly to help many people get back on their feet. I am proud to be a patron for this local charity and it was wonderful to have them up here to visit Westminster.”
