Burnham and Highbridge Park Runs hailed a runaway success!

-

Burnham and Highbridge’s Park Run is proving to be a runaway success, attracting dozens of runners each week.

The latest run at Apex Park, pictured here on Boxing Day, saw more than 100 participants taking part – all eager to work off their Christmas excesses.

The Burnham and Highbridge Park Run launched in June this year and has since grown in popularity, attracting scores of runners each Saturday at 9am.

Park Runs are free to join, but runners need to sign up online here to get a unique barcode that enables them to log their finishing times each week.

“We are delighted with the turnout at the first few months of the Park Runs here and thank everyone who has come along and taken part or supported us as volunteers,” said a spokesman.

Burnham-On-Sea photographer Mark Benton captured the fun of the Boxing Day Park Run in this set of photos.
