Drug dealing is public enemy number one for Burnham residents

-

Tackling drugs and speeding traffic have this week been voted as the top two priorities for police in Burnham-On-Sea.

During Burnham’s quarterly Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting held on Thursday evening (October 21st), residents got a chance to have their say about police issues in the town.

A vote was taken at the end of the meeting on what the priorities should be for officers over the next three months.

And drug enforcement was chosen as the top issue, followed by further action to reduce speeding traffic in the town.

Additional work on tackling anti-social behaviour, which has fallen in recent months, was voted as the third top priorities. Other concerns expressed at the meeting included underage drinking, BB gun use, cold callers and graffiti.
