These three wide-eyed young owls are the latest arrivals at a busy wildlife centre near Burnham-On-Sea.
Carers have named the tiny tawny owlets Ollie, Oscar and Ernie after finding them orphaned and in distress.
They are in good hands at Secret World wildlife rescue centre in East Huntspill, where they are being fed around the clock by the centre’s volunteers.
They are among dozens of creatures currently being cared for by the charity, which recently said it helped more than 5,500 animals last year.
Founder Pauline Kidner says the charity with its nine-strong staff team and nearly 60 dedicated volunteers was now coming under “unprecedented pressure” due to the sheer volume of arrivals.
“This in turn is putting a huge strain on our resources and is that is why we are now appealing urgently for more donations and offers of fundraising support,” she said.
“While the exceptionally cold and wet winter meant that for the first time our casualty pens were almost constantly full, the very late onset of spring has resulted in a huge influx of orphaned wild animals and birds,” she said.
