Burnham-On-Sea’s CJ Hole estate agents is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month.
Since first opening in Burnham in February 1991, CJ Hole has grown from strength to strength, selling thousands of properties in that time.
Originally opened by Edward Creswick and Michael Applegate along with secretary Maureen Ackroyd, now Maureen Philp, the flagship office was located on the corner of Victoria Street and College Street.
Now in the High Street the business is independently owned by Edward Creswick as part of a franchise network of over 20 CJ Hole offices spread across Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
Edward is part of a team of experienced property specialists who make sure no opportunity is ever missed for tenants, landlords, homebuyers and vendors.
He said: “We are fiercely proud to be independent local estate agents, experts in our own area but with the backing of like-minded agents trading under the same banner in the wider region.”
“Back in 1991, you could buy a two bed flat in Briar Court for £40,000, a two bed bungalow in Rosewood for £55,000 and a four bed detached in North Burnham for £90,000, houses priced at half a million were almost unheard of here!”
The company has won several awards, notably Gold in The Times and Sunday Times Best Medium Estate Agency (South West) 2014 and Gold in The Times and Sunday Times Best Medium Letting Agency (South West) 2015.
As part of the celebrations, the Burnham-On-Sea office has pledged to support its chosen charity of the year, Somerset Breast Cancer Now.
For all new instructions received in February, CJ Hole with Edward Creswick will donate £25 per property to this worthwhile cause.
And the office plans to run a Charity Cake and Coffee morning on Tuesday, February 23rd, from 10am to noon, to raise more money. Edward is also hoping to take part in a sky dive in early summer.
He added: “We are delighted to support Holly Macbeth and her team of fundraisers at the Somerset branch of Breast Cancer Now. Many of us at the office have known friends and family who have been directly affected by Breast Cancer and we wanted to add our support in raising awareness and much need funds for research.”
