Burnham-On-Sea carnival float achieves place at Shepton Mallet

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club had another good night at Shepton Mallet Carnival on Wednesday (November 10th).

The club’s float, The Show, won second place in the juvenile category – as it has done at Bridgwater, North Petherton and Burnham.

They were originally awarded third place at Bridgwater Carnival, but were changed to second after being accidentally overlooked by two judges.

Mark Bishop, Hillview’s cart captain, told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was “delighted” at the news.

The huge cart has cost £12,000 to build and is decorated with over 10,000 lights, half of which are environmentally-friendly.
