A busy route between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston was temporarily closed on Saturday night (July 6th) after a van blaze.
These were the scenes on the A370 at East Brent after fire crews from Burnham and Weston were called to tackle the van blaze at 10.30pm.
“Crews found a transit van well alight, and used two hose reel jets and compressed air foam to bring it under control,” said a spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire Service.
The A370 was closed while crews were on scene tackling the blaze, with diversions put in place.
The cause was believed to be accidential, caused by an electrical fault, which left the van a write-off, as pictured below.
