Residents in Highbridge marked Remembrance Day with a short parade, a service at St John’s Church and a wreath-laying ceremony at the town’s war memorial.
Highbridge Mayor Michael Clarke, Mayores Maria Clarke and County Councillor John Woodman were among the dignataries at the special event on Sunday afternoon, where buglar Phil Farr-Cox played ‘The Last Post’.
The service was led by Reverend Sharon Crossman, vicar of St John’s. Due to the poor weather conditions, part of the proceedings were held inside.
