Generous fundraisers in Burnham-On-Sea raised £1,400 for needy schoolchildren in Kenya during a Christmas fair held on Saturday morning (November 20th).
Dozens of supporters flocked to the town’s Methodist Church Hall in College Street to help raise money for Jolourabi School in Kenya.
The event included stalls selling cakes, gifts, jewellery, a raffle, tombola, clothes and refreshments.
One of the organisers, Sue Stevens, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to have raised the huge sum of £1,400. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our team of our helpers, so a big thank you goes to them all.”
