Over 200 people attended a summer open day at Highbridge Medical Centre on Tuesday afternoon (July 16th).
Visitors got a chance to speak to the centre’s staff, doctors and nurses in addition to meeting local health groups.
More than 20 stands were set up, providing visitors with information and advice from Public Health, Somerset Partnership, clinicians as well as scores of local organisations.
Exhibitors included health visitors, the patient group, Lloyds Pharmacy, Fibromyalgia group, Zing Somerset and hearing specialists.
One of the organisers, Dr Akhtar, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a great success. “The day went very well and attracted more visitors than our first event last year and we thank everyone for their support. We hope to expand it even further in 2014 to include even more activities.”
