These were the scenes in Highbridge on Friday afternoon (July 20th) as firefighters battled a blaze at a factory.
Three fire engines from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were called to Sanroy, in Commerce Way, Highbridge, which produces display units.
An aerial ladder platform was used by crews to extinguish the flames on an external stairwell of the factory unit.
Eyewitnesses said the factory, which measures 60m by 30m, had smoke issuing from an external dust silo.
Although the storage tower is clad in asbestos sheeting, this was not involved in the blaze.
Fire crews spent some time gaining access to the silo and ventilated the main factory using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the scene that the cause of the fire was accidental.
