Police investigate sex attack in central Burnham-On-Sea

-

Police are investigating a sex attack in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea, just weeks after two girls were allegedly attacked in neighbouring Highbridge.

In the latest incident, an 18-year-old homeless girl says she was attacked in Technical Street in the centre of Burnham on Tuesday August 29th.

“The suspect is described as a white male in his teens, slim, 5ft 9in tall, with short blonde spiky gelled hair with a significant piece of jewellery,” said sector deputy inspector Roger Tolley.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to ring the station on 08454 567000.

We reported in August how two men had been arrested on suspicion of rape after an alleged attack on two teenage girls in Highbridge. The news amid comes concern about the growing number of sex crimes in the area.
