Police have asked parents to be extra vigilant following an incident at a holiday park in Berrow on Thursday evening (August 1st) where a young girl was approached by a man.
Officers say the incident occurred at about 9.15pm when a 10 year-old girl was approached and grabbed on the arm by a man at Beachside Caravan Holiday Park.
The man was wearing a white-sleeved top and had black hair. Police said he left the scene.
They are keen to trace anyone who may have seen the incident or who might have information to help their enquiries.
“We believe this was an isolated incident but would like to hear from anyone who may have experienced a similar incident during the past few days or weeks,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We are treating the incident seriously but believe it may have been an isolated incident.”
“We would remind parents to be vigilant and ensure they know where their children are. Young children should always be accompanied by their parents or a responsible adult.”
