Crowds of visitors flocked to Burnham-On-Sea Horticultural Society’s annual Spring Show on Saturday (March 12th).
Organisers said the event, held at Burnham’s St Andrew’s School, had been “a great success” with over 130 entries on display.
Show Secretary David Bryant told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The very mild weather over the winter means many local daffodils are already past their best, but we had a good range and quality of entries this year, although the numbers were slightly down on some previous years.”
In addition to flowers, the entries included gardening, cookery, floral art and photography classes.
Brian Musgrove won the coveted trophy for the best entry in the show while David Bryant scooped the cup for the most points. The cup for the most points in the children’s classes was won by Charles Buckton.
