A new fashion shop has this week opened its doors for the first time in Burnham-On-Sea’s High Street.
Called Spangles, the new store is at 3 The High Street and replaces the former DC Computers branch.
Owner Penny Ricketts, a former teaching assistant, said she wanted a change of career and jumped at the opportunity to buy the premises.
“My daughter pointed out that there are no fashion accessory shops selling hair products, scarves, gloves or other fashion items in Burnham, and this was partly behind our decision.”
She added: “The first few days have been great – we’ve had plenty of interest in what we’re selling and a good number of customers.”
DC Computers closed its store in Burnham earlier this year, but remains in business in Church Street, Highbridge.
