Burnham-On-Sea’s MP Tessa Munt has paid a special visit to Brent Knoll’s RSPCA rescue centre.
She dropped in at the busy facilities in Brent Road to see the work that the centre does and drop off some blankets for the animals.
The centre cares for and re-homes a large number of cats and dogs each year and is always looking for help from volunteers, blankets and donations to keep the service going.
Tessa told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This centre performs an essential service on a very low budget and any help that can be given is always welcome. Sadly there are many abandoned or mistreated animals who have nowhere else to go and the RSPCA is literally a lifesaver.”
“The centre has a range of events during the year which I would encourage people to attend to help raise money to care for the animals. The next one is the Sunday Funday on September 22nd from 11am–4pm.”
