Dozens of athletes of all ages competed in Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Spring aquathlon on Sunday (March 20th).
The popular event, organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, comprised of a 250 metre swim at Burnham Pool followed by a 2.5km run along the seafront while the children completing a shorter ‘splash and dash’ event on the town’s beach.
Organiser Sara Cox Conklin told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been another success and thanked all those who had turned out to support the event.
“It was a wonderful morning of fast and friendly competition in the pool and on the run course,” she said.
“Congratulations go to the competitors and supporters, and a huge thanks to our marshalls for making this a smooth, fun and successful event.”
