Burnham-On-Sea residents will have an opportunity to buy fresh local produce when the town’s monthly farmers’ market is held on Friday, October 27th.
The event takes place from 9am until 1pm along the High Street in the centre of the town, when a temporary road closure will be in place.
Roger White, spokesman for Somerset Farmers’ Markets, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “People who attend this market will have the chance to buy the best bread, meat, cheese, vegetables and fish in Somerset.”
“Those who would like to try something a little bit different will even be able to buy game sausages and pigeon pies from regular stallholder Gary Matthews from GM Country Sport and Game Supplies.”
There will also be a selection of locally-made crafts and Burnham-On-Sea Christmas cards and calendars on sale.
Further Burnham-On-Sea Farmers’ Markets will be held on November 24th and December 22nd, then there will be a winter break until March 2007.
It was confirmed this week that a continental market will be held in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday November 5th, the day before Burnham’s carnival.
