Organisers of the annual Brean Stages Rally have this week announced details of their 2007 event.
The popular rally, which is now in its 11th year, will be held over three days in January and will once again be held at Brean Leisure Park.
Event scrutineering will be held on Friday 26th January, followed by leg one on Saturday with six special stages. Leg two on Sunday 28th January will contain a further six stages, providing a total of some 40 miles of competitive rallying over the weekend on the exciting sealed surface roads. Organiser Rod McKenna told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve already had a very good pre-rally response, so the signs look promising for another good year in 2007.”
“This event has a strong following and while some rallies have died out in recent years, Brean continues well and is now among the longest-running events in the south west. We’re expecting a lot of interest again, with several top WRC cars taking part.”
The 2007 event will also have three new sponsors – PIAA, Permashine and Howards – after Regency’s deal ended in 2006. The entry period for January’s event will open on 1st December and there are a maximum of 80 entries.
