Classic hot rods and trucks set to roar through Burnham and Brean

-

Dozens of classic American hot rods, trucks and classic vehicles will thunder through Burnham-On-Sea and Brean today (Saturday, August 31st) in a mass convoy for charity.

The Blue Ridge Runners will be moving through the town at around 12.30pm in a procession through Burnham, passing along the Burnham’s Esplanade, and then along Berrow Road to Brean.

“With horns blaring and a long line of vehicles on show, the procession is sure to attract scores of interested onlookers,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The vehicles will be on display at the Classic, Custom and American Auto Club Show throughout Sunday (September 1st) from 10am in a field at Seymour Farm near the Woodpile on the A38 between Pawlett and West Huntspill.

Entry will be £3 for adults with children under 16 free with proceeds going to charity. There will be live music, trade stands, kids entertainment and refreshments.

The Blue Ridge Runners were formed in 1989 to link up motoring enthusiasts from across the South West who own hot rods, trucks and other unusual vehicles. Thousands of pounds are raised for local charities from the group’s events.
