Heavy and persistent rain may cause flooding in the Burnham-On-Sea area today (Friday) and tomorrow, forecasters have warned.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of heavy rain across the region during both days.
“Heavy rain, persistent in places, will affect many areas during Friday. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption due to localised flooding,” said a Met Office spokesman.
“Areas of heavy rain will spread northwards. These areas will become slow-moving, bringing prolonged and occasionally intense rain. This may cause some flooding from surface water or rivers, causing localised flooding.”
