More than 100 children and adults marked Ascension Day on Thursday (May 5th) with a walk up Brent Knoll.
A bright sunny morning provided perfect conditions for the walk, which included children from Brent Knoll School and East Brent First.
Brent Knoll head teacher Chris Burman said: “In order to mark this important day – which is still commemorated around the country in various ways such as in the ‘beating of the parish boundaries’ – we held an early morning walk to ‘ascend’ the Knoll, to learn more about the Ascension Day story.”
The children listened to readings in the sunshine before heading back down the hill for a breakfast at the Church and the start of lessons as normal.
