Taunton marines and their families will be enjoying a free circus performance at Sanders Garden World near Burnham-On-Sea later this month.
The centre in Brent Knoll has donated 20 tickets for Paulo’s Circus Americano on Saturday February 26th to the 40 Commando Royal Marines based at Norton Manor Camp.
General Manager Peter Burks explained: “We think it is important to support our local troops who have been serving overseas and we are delighted to be able to offer some of them and their families the opportunity to attend one of the spectacular shows.”
“The marines will be arriving at the garden centre in a convoy of classic cars, which have been supplied by Gerry Wheeler, who owns Vintage Wheels based in Catcott near Bridgwater. We are also thrilled that the Wrinkly Rappers will be opening the show with one of their songs.”
Paulo’s Circus Americano is hosting two shows daily at the centre from February 18th until Sunday February 27th.
During the performance, there will be collection buckets in the big top for people to donate to Go Commando, a Taunton-based national charity that provides support for marines and their families.
The shows will take place at 3pm and 6pm from Monday until Saturday (February 19 and February 21 until 26) and at 2pm and 5pm on Sundays (February 20 and 27). Performances will last between one and a half and two hours. Adult grand stand tickets cost £16. For children and people aged 60 and above, tickets cost £14. Ring side seats are £14 for adults and £12 for children and people aged 60 and above. Side view tickets are priced at £11 for adults and £9 for children and people aged 60 and above.
