Residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area have been warned that torrential rain could cause localised flooding today (Thursday).
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for the whole of the south west region.
“Areas of heavy, thundery rain will spread into southern and southwestern parts during Thursday, with 20-25 mm of rain possible within an hour and 40 mm within 3 hours, although many places will receive much less than this,” says the Met Office.
“The public should aware of the risk of localised flooding.”
