Delighted Burnham-On-Sea shop owners John and Katharine Edwards are celebrating this week after scooping two top awards in a national competition for the third year running.
Material Needs in Burnham High Street has been voted ‘Stitching Retailer Of The Year’ for the whole UK, plus ‘South West Retailer Of The Year’ at a top trade exhibition in Birmingham.
The couple told Burnham-On-Sea.com they were “greatly honoured” to have won the awards for a third year running at the 2011 Origin Craft Awards ceremony, which was held at the NEC in Birmingham this week.
John said: “We are very proud that Material Needs has been recognised again with these awards. It’s great for the shop and for Burnham that we are receiving these awards.”
“These awards mean a great deal to us and to our staff and we hope for Burnham-On-Sea and Somerset. A big thank you goes to all those customers who voted for us. We are very grateful.”
