Two dedicated members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose Lodge have this week been presented with well-deserved long service awards.
Jim Dolan and Laurie Lillycrop have been given their ten and twenty five year service awards to mark their work with the town’s lodge.
Jim received his ten year lapel pin from past Grand Governor Trevor Savage (pictured right) while Laurie (top) received his twenty five year lapel pin and a framed certificate from Mr Savage.
The awards were handed during the group’s first meeting back in the newly re-built Berrow Village Hall.
The group has had a busy month. A social evening at Highbridge Community Hall, where members were entertained with quizes and race games, was held at the start of the month.
Burnham’s Battered Fryer fish and chip shop delivered 80 portions of fish and chips, as pictured below, and money was raised towards Moose Governor Eric Gill’s charity of the year, BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat).
