Burnham paramedics treat motorist after rush-hour accident on A38

Burnham-On-Sea paramedics came to the aid of an elderly motorist who suffered breathing problems after bneing involved in a two-vehicle accident on the outskirts of the the town on Friday morning (February 2nd).

Police and paramedics rushed to the A38 at West Huntspill at 8.45am after two vehicles collided during the busy rush hour near the Crossways Inn.

As shown in our photo, police put diversions in place to move traffic around the accident, which involved a Ford Mondeo and a pick-up truck.

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One elderly lady driver has been treated for breathing difficulties, but fortunately there were no serious injuries. There was quite a bit of traffic chaos given the time of the day.”

The Highways Agency dealt with a spillage of oil on the road during the incident.
