Scores of Land Rover owners and 4×4 enthusiasts were in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (February 3rd) for the annual meeting of the Wessex 4×4 Response Association.
The charity’s members came from across Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire to the Lighthouse Inn to hear more about the organisation’s plans to expand.
The group works closely with local authorities and emergency services to provide logistical support during incidents such as extreme weather. It has 62 members across the region.
“It’s been a good day here in Burnham. A lot has been discussed and we also had a chance to run through safety training with some of our members,” said spokesman Matt Neale.
A representative from OEC International – formerly the Overland Expedition Company – was also in Burnham on Saturday to give members advice about training.
