Soft sand proved too much for a lorry carrying several horses when it became stuck on Berrow Beach, near Burnham, on Sunday afternoon (February 4th).
Owner Helen Smith had to call for help from a local farmer to have the vehicle pulled free after its two back wheels sank at the top of the beach.
Helen, who runs a local private horse yard, said: “We were just driving along the beach when the lorry’s back wheels sank underneath us. It was more of an inconvenience than anything else.”
