Cyclists in Burnham-On-Sea will be feeling the love this summer as new heart-shaped cycle hoops have been installed on The Esplanade this week.
The seafront is popular with cyclists and the new hoops provide a secure place to lock bicycles whilst riders head off to explore the town.
The hoops are red hearts and have been manufactured for Burnham by London-based cycling specialists Cyclehoop Ltd.
Their design means that locked cycles should not slip down and become a trip hazard to pedestrians.
A Sedgemoor District Council spokesperson said: “Sedgemoor District Council are pleased to have worked with Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council to provide secure cycle hoops for cyclists. We hope they will raise a smile, whilst being practical.”
