Burnham-On-Sea fire crews tackle four acre heathland blaze

Burnham-On-Sea firefighters joined crews from across Somerset in battling a heathland blaze covering four acres on Tuesday evening (March 8th).

Fire beaters and water jets were used to bring the fire under control at Hurley Beacon near Crowcombe.

Fire crews from Nether Stowey, Williton, Minehead, Burnham, Bridgwater, Porlock and Glastonbury were called out shortly after 6pm to tackle the incident on the Quantock Hills.
