New look for Burnham Dreamscheme as it plans first fundraiser

-

The leaders of Burnham-On-Sea’s newly-formed Dreamscheme group have this week unveiled their new logo as they prepare for their first fundraising event.

The logo – comprising of a colourful kite with the word ‘Dreamscheme’ twisted along the tail – was inspired by the youngsters at the group.

Burnham Dreamscheme leaders John Alexander and PC Matt Pearce – who are pictured outside their HQ at Burnham Police Station this week – are now planning their first big fundraiser on Friday April 15th.

The group’s Fun Day will be held from 11am until 4pm on St Andrew’s School playing field and be open to all.

John is currently seeking the involvement of local groups to take part. He can be contacted here.

Burnham-On-Sea.com reported last month how the new group had officially been launched by Burnham’s MP, Tessa Munt, as pictured right.

Dreamscheme involves young people aged 8-16 taking part in community work in return for points that can be used towards day trips and other activities.

The next meeting of Burnham Dreamscheme will be during the Easter school holidays – more details to follow on Burnham-On-Sea.com shortly.
