These were the scenes on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Sunday afternoon (March 11th) when two people were baptised in Bridgwater Bay.
Thirty people from a Gloucestershire church gathered on the beach near the pier for the 40-minute ceremony.
Two young churchgoers were led waist-deep into the sea, ignoring the chilly water temperatures, before being annointed by a preacher.
Similar baptism ceremonies have been held in the sea at Burnham before, with the last one – being last summer.
